
In 1996 was arriving in bookstores "I Miti Poesia": an unusual format, similar to that of a CD, covers pop, small collections of fifty texts for the great authors of all time, and the back advertising for Calvin Klein. It starts with Sappho and Montale, the Mondadori press each title with a circulation of 100,000 copies, two titles a month ranging in all libraries in Italy to 3,900 pounds.
Amazon was the first, before the success of the festival, but even before the crisis, were the years when something, after the darkness of the eighties, began to move again in poetry.
