The latest novel by F. Romano Tagliati, a labor of two hundred pages published in January 2016 by the publisher Giuliano Ladolfi, has some features that do not hesitate to call rare in the literary context of the present day: language always adhering to the character's psychology, historical reliability, genuine testimony of the young protagonist who never fit into the chair, suggests the moral and psychological situation of a country that, after twenty years of dictatorship, is now in disarray. An honest book, where the author's mastery sievidenzia that, without ever resorting to complicated literary devices, prefers to tell the facts, avoiding the easy temptation to launch anathemas, or to transform the narrative in a police report, allowing his characters freedom to express themselves with the authentic simplicity of their usual language.
Some time ago, after reading the first draft, an important director of RAI wrote to the author that once published the book, he would not hesitate to draw a film for "the large canvas" and the screenplay for a fiction of success. Unfortunately, before the work was completed, the director has gone to the other world. Needless to say today that, with its human implications, imbued with a subtle poetic vein, by a slight erotic impression and be times when comparing two different worlds, the work seems to bear him out.
