Among the various possible interpretations of the collection of Matilde Calamai I intend to favor one: the feminine aspect. The journey between sweetness and melancholy reveals unequivocally traits, lived and experienced in the existence, rarely come to the awareness and, even more rarely, turn into poetry.
The lyrical and descriptive I bind a node inseparable to the point that the first African landscape, then Florence and then in New York does not present itself as a mirror of the soul, but the soul itself, because Calamai lives right that reality. And the lack of continuity solution constitutes the most eloquent revelation (Giulio Greco).
