We often wonder about what a love poem means. And we feel the need for a simple answer. Simple but not trivial. By simplicity I mean the synthesis of gratitude and abandonment, enthusiasm and authenticity, intimacy and reserve, warmth and harmony. Feelings, ways of being, existential goals that are not useless in the moment they incarnate in a recognizable language, or in any case not random and improvised.
This is the case represented by Paolo Parrini with the sylloge When the days will fall (from the preface by Renato Minore).
