The itinerary of this collection of poems unfolds along the paths of beauty, called upon to bear witness in opposition to what time takes away in its flight, usually precipitous but sometimes subtly deceptive in an appearance of immobility. This is the theme and it becomes more acute as the images stand out in their evidence and come towards us. It is a geography of the soul, of course, where every enchantment vibrates with a secret restlessness.
