Anna Bani was born in Pisa and graduated in Philosophy from Perugia. She's a finalist in the national poetry prize “Quaderni di Linfera
2008,” chaired by Maria Luisa Spaziani, and still a finalist in the 2011 edition of the “Luzi Prize” for unpublished poetry.
Some of his poems appeared in the anthology Il segreto delle fragole by Lietocolle and in the collection iPoet, also edited by Lietocolle. In 2017, her poetry collection If the Cosmos Had a Heart was published, winner of the “I Murazzi” 2021 prize. Also in 2021, with a preface by poet Silvio Raffo, his second collection Icaro o della giovinezza was published, which won the “Lionello Fiumi” 2021 prize.
In 2020 she won the Antonia Pozzi prize for fiction, and in 2024 his third collection The Glass Wall was awarded the “Gulf of Trieste” prize.
