Giovanni Fioravanti was born in Ferrara, where he still lives. He has worked in education.
Poetry has always accompanied him in his search for meaning amidst a humanity that is scattered, distant and alien to itself, in an attempt to understand its essence, to grasp its mystery, and to breathe new life into words so as to reveal to us what we fail to grasp, what we fail to feel, what we fail to see.
His poetry does not sing; it embraces discordance because life itself is discordant.
