Carlo Alessandro Landini (1954) has published, among others, the essays Fenomenologia dell'estasi (Franco Angeli, 1982), dedicated to the life and visions of Saint Veronica Giuliani, Lo sguardo assente (Franco Angeli, 1999), dedicated to the figure of the painter Alberto Savinio and the pathology of the autistic spectrum, Misura e dismisura (Musica Practica, 2016), in which he discusses, in the light of cognitive psychology and learning, the question of “monumental” art and music. A scholar and university lecturer, he has contributed to the Dizionario degli Autori (Bompiani) and the monthly magazine “Psicologia contemporanea”. A former Fulbright scholar at the University of California, San Diego (1981-1983), Research Scholar at Columbia University (2003), and Visiting Professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, he is the author of the essay L'orecchio di Proteo (Lim 2021), the first compendium of musical neuroaesthetics to be published in Italy.
