Romana Romano (Vallo della Lucania, 1948) lives in a coastal town at the foot of Mount Etna, where the beauty of the sea and the power of the volcano inspire her to reflect on her own existence, which is strongly connected to nature, the reality of the world and the people around her.
Marked by a deep self-awareness, as a teacher and school principal, she has dedicated her life to education, considering it an essential priority for the development of the individual and society. Her writing reflects this passion for humanity and its destiny, exploring nuances and searching for meaning in her poetry, with constant references to nature and creation.
She has published the poetry collections Parole nel cielo (Words in the Sky, 2015) and Risplende di nuovo il sole (The Sun Shines Again, 2018) with People&Humanities.
Her other publications include Vivere la realtà (Living Reality, 2014) and Sicilia terra amata (Sicily, Beloved Land, 2014).
