Paolo Scivoletto was born in Florence in 1960 but has lived in Parma for quite some time.
He graduated in foreign languages and literatures (English and German) with a thesis on the English writer Graham Greene.
He contributes to newspapers and journals and works as a translator. Has written short stories and poetry.
He prefers writing fiction rather than poetry because this comes more naturally to him, although he greatly appreciates reading and listening to poetry.
His short stories are featured in anthologies of creative writing courses: Tales at Villa Soragna, Il Cavaliere Azzurro Edition, 2002; Seventeen Thirty, Eight/Nine Hundred, 2004.
