Gianni Venturi was born in Bologna on 30/05/58 to parents who were tango dancers: the father, an excellent accordionist, and the mother of gypsy origin.
Poetry has been part of his life since he was a child. The first publication, Involuzione premedita, published by Cappelli with a preface by Roberto Roversi, dates back to 1984. With Maurizio Maldini and Salvatore Jemma he founded the magazine "I quaderni del Masaorita", in which Jean Robeay and Alberto Bertoni. The magazine also released the collection of poems, The dream of the swamp, which is affected by its link with music.
He organized a sound poetry festival in Bologna, sponsored by the Municipality, and numerous readings and poetic performances throughout Italy.
Important are two music albums with "Altare thotemico", a progressive band, and the project "Moloch", with Lucien Moreau, dedicated to the beat generation. Within his poetic and musical production, we also remember two videos with the voice of Ginsberg and Bukovski; an album with the "Tazebao" project, with Latin lyrics, dedicated to the Cathar heresy; Computer mantra, poetry and voice album, where the voice becomes an instrument; a novel published by Otherworld, Laksmi Shiva, diary of an assassin.
An album will soon be released with Alessandro Seravalle dedicated to Ceronetti's Qoehelet with original texts and his unpublished poems.
