Andrea Temporelli, which has long been made out of the ordinary literary brawl, propagating, from his solitude, a grenade-like novel All the entries of this afterlife (Guaraldi, 2015), has decided to publish editorials written for the magazine Atelier in 18 years (1996-2013) in which he has held up, with courage and madness, the rudder. In short, this is one of the books of "literary theory" the most brilliant of the last decade. That's why.
In April 1996, twenty years ago, a principal with the flicker of literary criticism (Giuliano Ladolfi) and his student protege (Mark Merlin) give life to the "Quarterly literary criticism poetry" Atelier. In that first, archaeological number, he investigates the figure of David Maria Turoldo and tackles the work of Carlo Emilio Gadda. Among the apical moments of the magazine, the anthology The common work (1999), where they join, still virgin, some of the most important voices of today (Laura Pugno, Elisa Biagini, Simone Cattaneo, Daniele Piccini, Andrea Ponso ... ), monograph on the Young European poetry (June 2003) and that of Italian stories (June 2005, with a not yet vip Roberto Saviano) and the book series "Parsifal", where authors now pampered by large publishers are welcomed (by Nicola Flavio Gardini Saints).
Behind the face of a good guy Mark Merlin, hides Andrea Temporelli - his heteronym -, talented poet (in 2005 he published by Einaudi The sky of Mars), fierce and feared critic. With its editorial, quarter by quarter, it builds a kind of warrior-poet's manual, a sort of lyrical art of war. "We are convinced that you have to pay in person every word; each verse to be an offer, but the total, authentic. " The tome, ethically title dissociation, lunges and leaks (Giuliano Ladolfi Publisher, pp. 400, € 20), also collects the meetings, always extreme, of Temporelli with Roberto Mussapi, Umberto Fiori, Tiziano Scarpa, Antonio Riccardi A ... book that is the mirror, on the contrary, another book just as decisive, Letters to no one, Antonio Moresco. Only there it persisted in giving an account of his talent, the big publishing nell'ottusità, here you play counterattack: not a lament yarn, sharpening his sword, building a community. "Blessed be the anonymity that allows us freedom of infiltrators and cheerfulness of despair," writes Temporelli.
