In *Prigionie dello splendore*, Famularo depicts the deconstruction of the dichotomies between the self and the world, and between subject and object, through the dissolution of the self. Indeed, by realising that they are one with the void/nothingness, the individual lets go of their anguish to arrive at a total acceptance of the transience of their condition; a transience which, throughout the collection, is often portrayed as a catastrophe to which the subject willingly surrenders and embraces (Luca Cenacchi).
