The novel *Le cento torri* tells a story of secrets, dark mysteries, horrors, guilty pleasures, disappointments, order and chaos, love and hate, set in a historic boarding school where the ambiguous nature of the characters reigns supreme. A duality pervades this place – rational and irrational – the seduction of evil, yet at the same time a staunch resistance to it.
The minds of the two protagonists, Inspector Tancredi Egidio and the student Julia, work together to pursue a single goal from two contrasting perspectives: to uncover the truth behind situations that subvert the rules of space and time.
The relationship between the two could be described as the living embodiment of an irreconcilable antithesis: black and white. But who is the black and who is the white? It is up to the reader to decide.

For her, sight is primarily a mental phenomenon, a sort of sixth sense that often leads her to view reality from a different perspective.
