All this is to anticipate that my body is a novel on the theme of identity, and that Lucy has managed to preserve and restore quell'emblematico episode. The story follows three characters, a woman, a man and a boy, who venture in different ways and twisted in the search for the world's experience coincides experience of self. One of them will remain in the ford and his powerful will become the hub for the other two. The main character is apparently a wife, Laura, forced to deal with the separation from their partner (also the absence / we learn / has its liturgy) in a two-fold and pressing climax, thus initiating a process of expiation and changes through which the universe of suffering will be upset and finally regenerated. I say apparently because the story is actually entirely orchestrated by the tragedy of 'antagonist, the man of her bound and throughout their lives and torn by the inability to find a consolidation and reconciliation with himself. It 'the same report, the main character, and simultaneously the fabric of the book:
"That death, in the tail of a better ending, eradicates the worst of life. It retains the best. Because the living can remember.
And rehabilitate ".
The theme of identity is explored in fact three possible intimate landscapes. The depths of loss and detachment, in which apnea destroys pain perception of himself and prepares the outcrop; uncertainty lagoon in which the existence forks and splits colluding with a scarcity of 'identity that contradicts the certainty of the role; the overseas youth, finally projected outside the box, by moralism, stereotypes, in a vague horizon but faithful to the true author. Laura, Alberto, Maria.
The authentic self requires courage and fearlessness that in Lucia Ravera vision evoke the power of the feminine. A female that is not the quality of the woman, but the archetype and energy, each one / to can get back in touch, listen, integrate. In this sense becomes the central theme of the body that emphasizes the processes of transformation and self-perception in the protagonist. The different adjectives attributed to his body marked the moments of change, the crucial pivot, the form in which the cellular tissues speak of Laura's relationship with the world, its face, healing and reconciliations.
The writing is crossed by bright descriptive blows:
"The sky lambiccava water bullets that splintered as light plates on the car windshield in the race."
"... The lame tables consummate the black flame candle flutters around a crossroads of voices and smoke."
One of the novel's strengths is the congruence of stylistic variations with respect to the performance of the plot. The book is marked by compositions in verse that rely on poetic writing the inexpressible gravitate introspection. The first part, in which with refined sensibility cross the paroxysmal pain of parting, is lit by moments of intense lyricism. the second one is geared more clearly to the narrative, flowing in an upward path in which the perception of reality is anchored to the events, dialogues, places, restoring the sweetness of this, its possibilities, the coolness of the petty joys, the pronunciation firm of '' I ', and "WE."
