Francesco Teruggi, writer and independent researcher, writer, engaged in journalistic collaborations, the work alternates with the search for ever new approaches to the cultures of the planet. He is interested in many scientific disciplines, archeology, paleontology, anthropology, astronomy. But do not hesitate to compare them with areas of knowledge often unusual, bold and exotic, ranging from the disciplines hermetic symbolism and initiation from radistesia to more advanced studies of "subtle energies."
Let's not forget its beautiful reportage published monthly in our magazine, which knows how to combine passion for knowledge, for understanding the culture and customs different from ours with fluid and engaging style, which makes him a writer of great level.
On the occasion of his first essay informative, "The Grail and the Goddess," I had the opportunity to interview him exclusively for "WE Magazine."
-How did the idea for this your book?
-Everyone, when we read the exploits of the explorers, researchers, archaeologists or of the great scientists of all time, we end up want to emulate their deeds. Each of us, often secretly, seeks his own "Great Pyramid of Egypt." Mine was much closer than I imagined, just outside the house. And I was lucky enough to recognize it.
-When did you discover your passion for history, antiquity and the mysteries?
-In third grade my fellow collectors of figurines, but I photographs of the Egyptian pyramids, papyrus covered with hieroglyphics, of Roman temples, castles and fortresses. In the years of middle school library in my room was equally occupied by science fiction novels and books on ancient civilizations. In some ways it is a vocation that exists in me all along.
-And that for writing?
I developed spontaneously when I began to form my staff a critical position in relation to what I read. It is the medium that is more congenial to me, the one through which I can give to my completed form mental paths.
-Let's go back to your book. How would you define it?
A trip. Like the ones that I enjoy writing for several years. I was lucky enough to shoot often the world, to see and learn about places and cultures incredible. Eventually I realized that my home, the place where I live, my unknown village at the mouth of Ossola, in its own way is just as fascinating and has nothing to envy to some of his "cousins" the most famous, as for example the famous Rennes-Le-Chateau.
-Come lo riassumeresti in poche righe?
-A Ornavasso hovered for a long time an unresolved issue: how was it possible for the inhabitants of an unknown village Ossola, turn a small chapel in the woods in a grand cathedral? And why put a hand so expensive and complicated building? They could have expanded and decorated the sanctuary of the existing Boden, instead they built the Guard, the designs of a famous Milanese architect, who designed the project in a matter of months. The more traditional approaches have never been able to provide exhaustive answers. So, having the good fortune to know techniques and means unusual but effective, I tried to apply them to what we already knew together and to deepen the aspects that had been overlooked. What emerged was a story with unexpected implications, ranging from the alchemy symbols, legends, the plots for the power, the intertwining of politics and religion, from which I was surprised even me. For another, I certainly claim to have found all the answers, but I firmly believe that this new vision of the story represents a new stimulus to discussion and dialogue.
-What are your plans for your future as a writer?
-The great Chatwin said that man is imprinted and a primal instinct to nomadism, movement, which prevents him from standing still. I could not find better words. The ideas are many. Every day new ideas emerge through my blog, exchanges of views, comparisons with readers, with other writers and researchers. No lack of surprises.
If the words and the personality of Francis Teruggi leave an indelible imprint on those who met him and those who know him, reading the publication leaves the same impression: attention to detail, compelling argument, extensive documentation and critically addressed, taste for 'art and archeology, extreme desire for communication.
The ability of the writer-researcher is primarily involved with ability to insert a local historical event in a broader perspective, capable of offering to other scholars material, sources and interpretative models for research worthy to propose a sign explaining about our past.
The result is a framework that goes beyond expeditiously not only the learned studies of local character, but also the great historical narratives, because the author has addressed the issue in an interdisciplinary way from a perspective able to achieve a synthesis of great value.
For this I recommend it to all readers of our magazine that already Francesco estimate for its monthly contributions.
